This isn’t a secret. I spent most of my life in Taytay before I moved to the city. When people ask me about my hometown, I used to always say it is where tricycles thrive and hair highlights are supposed to be the in thing (remember Rico Blanco’s blonde days?)
As my inner crafter began to awaken, I also discovered that Taytay is the place to go for tela (textile). I used to think you could get them at Divisoria for much cheaper but meeeeyn i was wrong.
In Taytay, the don’t really measure the tela with a yardstick. You grab a whole bunch and they’d sell it to you by the kilo.
Taytay has supplied my puppet materials from their skin, hair, stuffing and body foam. It has opened opportunities for stage decorations, and customized dresses, swimsuits and so much more.
A few steps away from where the tela is sold, you will find about a seven kilometer stretch of clothing bazaars but that’s a different blog entry.
What do you guys think? Visit me in Taytay, soon?
Ayat,
Wander Woman
